Postdoctoral Fellowships

We do not have any current openings for Postdoctoral Fellowships. I am also happy to discuss applications for Fellowship funding including NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology, The Society for Conservation Biology’s Smith Conservation Research Fellowship, or the U.S. government’s Fulbright Program for Foreign Students.

Graduate Research Assistants

Graduate positions in my lab are contingent on funding for research assistantships. I am not recruiting new graduate students at this time. Students who have their own funding and are interested in working in my lab are encouraged to contact me via email. I am also happy discuss NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) applications.

Undergraduate Internships

I am currently accepting applications for the Appalachian Laboratory’s Undergraduate Internship Program. The student will work with a dataset of winter banding records from across the country and local tracking of American Robins that breed in Frostburg to understand migration patterns. The project involves some local fieldwork, searching for and monitoring American Robin nests, assisting with banding birds, and following the movements of tagged birds. The field component of the project will require flexibility in the daily schedule, as the best time to observe and tag American Robins is in the early morning early evening. The ideal data for this project are Mid-May through mid-July, as the nesting season concludes around the end of June. Applications are due by 11:59pm, Monday March 7. Apply here.
