These professional development projects funded by NSF and NOAA (NSF 0422545, NOAA NA06NMF4570173) helped Central Appalachian and Maryland teachers guide students through local watershed investigations using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)—an interactive computer mapping, visualization and analysis tool. They included partners at Northwestern University and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
Resources related to this project are listed under the Chesapeake FieldScope project products.
