This project helped western Maryland elementary school teachers and students improve schoolyard environments to provide native habitat, enhance water quality, and offer outdoor learning spaces for student exploration and investigations. It produced four comprehensive elementary curricular units focused on schoolyard science investigations, which are available upon request. It was funded for 10 years by the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
